About

My name is Dennis Vermaut. I live in Ichtegem – West Flanders – Belgium, together with my wife and kids. And I try to enjoy our own bubble as much as possible!

Many years ago I started developing an interest in photography – due to my interest in computers. A shiny computer needs shiny wallpapers in ample resolution, so I bought my first digital camera: a Canon Powershot S1 IS – which was back then quite more advanced than the regular digital cameras. However – as such things happen – I didn’t do quite enough with it.

Years later the interest came back and I bought my first DSLR – a Canon 500D. And I was hooked again. Gear, better lenses, upgrades, …
Soon after I reinvented myself: from experimental photography – which was great to learn the technique – to shooting models. Fashion, lingerie, beach ware, fine art, …

Nowadays this means I’m able to shoot all sort of genres, from fashion to weddings and communions to products.

I keep high standards for all of my pictures, so each picture I keep is really optimised and digitally developed by hand – no automation whatsoever.
